Circle of Shepherd

Druids of the Circle of the Shepherd commune with the spirits of nature, especially the spirits of beasts and the fey, and call to those spirits for aid. Those who which to join this circle go through a spiritual journey, accepting the spirit animal or fey as guide, protector and inspiration.
The memeber of this circle recognize that all living things play a rol in the natural world, they focus on protecting those that have difficulty defending themselves. This protection granted them the title of shepherd among the gnomes and named the druidic circle. They ward off monsters that threaten them, rebuke hunters who kill more than necessary, and prevent their people from clashing with nature.
Wherever the member of the circles goes, the spirits of the wilderness are with them, bolstering them with supernatural might.

History

This druidic circle originates from the forest Gnome, who used to call upon Animal Spirits and conjure beasts to come to their help. Protecting those who can't defend themselves, it is this behavior that granted them the name of shepherd. In addition to the druids, all those linked to the spirits who protect their people can join this circle, and many beastmasters ranger, seek to be part of this circle, gaining the support of a spirit animal companion on their journey.
Traces of similar practice can be found among the Northlanders and nordic humanoid clan of what is now Tana's Empire. Their warriors rage into battle, protected by the spirit of animals, either representing their inner strength, or their clan. Those warriors are called totem warriors. Some others, who create a bond with a wild spirit are called Primal warriors. Those warriors are no druids, but their belief and power share a similar origin to the druid of the circle of shepherds and provoked the genesis of this circle among humans.
