History

Anyath of Nicodranas is a dragonborn academic, renowned for his expertise in the field of Conjuration magic. He is a member of the prestigious Academy of magic and holds the title of professor in the School of Conjuration. His academic pursuits primarily focus on the study of planar magic and he has numerous papers and publications to his name. As a respected member of the academic community, Anyath is highly regarded for his knowledge and insight in the realm of magical theory and practice.
Anyath most famous paper is "The Nature of the Void: An Exploration of the Boundary between the Inner and Outer Planes." According to Anyath, the void is the endpoint of all existence. In his theories on planar magic, he posits that time and space hold no value in the void and that everything in the outer planes, is doomed to eventually end in the void. Echo, a plane known to hold many vestige coming from the void, is also according to Anyath not the end but only a temporary setback on the way to the void. This means that the void serves as a final destination for all matter and energy, separating the Inner Planes from the outer planes.
Anyath also wrote a less popular paper named "The Paradox of the Para-Elemental Plane: Uncovering the Plane of Fizzling Water" in which he describe a para elemental plane that should exist in parallel of the para elemental plane of ice: the plane of Fizzling Water.

Adventurers group

Years after his papers, Anyath's relations with the academy of magic were low at best, and he lived secluded in his tower of Tidepeak in Nicodranas, serving as a powerful wizard for the city.
It was due to this reputation that a group of four adventurers knocked on the door of his tower, seeking assistance in the investigation of a recently acquired magic item. With Anyath's expertise, they identified it as a page from the Book of Vile Darkness.
Anyath warned them of the dangers of this book, emphasizing that even a single page could corrupt the mind. Despite the warning, the intrigued adventurers pressed for more information. Anyath directed them to a fellow wizard, Liliana, an expert in Chronomancy working in the Abjuration school in Ionguale, who he knew had a knack for this kind of dark lore.
This revelation led to Anyath's demise. Liliana, alerted by the adventurers, fled the city and the empire to avoid any connection to her involvement. On her way out, she attempted to sever any links to her by sending bandits after the adventurers. Simultaneously, she confronted Anyath, resulting in a deadly confrontation where the adventurers were unable to save the old wizard, who perished in the fight.
