The Blooming
"Brother... let me do this, I can prove myself for us... what if-" "Azur... I will be fine. Its just my fears. I face them every moment anyways, as does all of our people. Nothing in this dream... This trance, can harm me more then the real world." Azr Shifted uncomfortably, He looked at The High Preist sitting down in one of the two druidic circles outside the main one. looking around the overgrown and damaged temple, its eerily quiet and dark interior gave him a terrible feeling. looking back to his brother, and The Emerald Conclave leaders Azur spoke, "What ever happens in there Cumulo... I WILL, protect you brother..." Cummulo sat down in the center circle, and noded to the Conclave leaders, then he looked at Azr as he sat in the last unoccupied circle. "I know brother."
The Blooming is a Ritual conducted by The Emerald Conclave to have outsiders prove they are worthy of the conclave's aid. This ritual has the person seeking aid enter a dreamlike trance that has them face their greatest fears in combat. Once their fears are defeated this shows the conclave that you are capable of growth, and eventually you could bloom into the beautiful and ideal you. Each individual has a different experience in the Blooming, and its very dependent on the persons state of mind, and ability. Only two others may enter the ritual with the intended person, these two who join, are selected by the person for whom the ritual is meant for.
Execution
The Emerald Conclave's leaders wait for the members of the ritual within The Lost Temple of Veazu. Once the ritual members arrive, they are brought to the main chamber, and are asked to sit in the center of a circle written in sylvan. The Leaders then take up their three positions around the circle and light incense sticks made from foliage around The Blooming Grotto. the ritual is intended for the Person at the center, and helping participants are to sit outside of the center, but still withing the circle as a whole. the people present inhale the smoke from the burning incense sticks, and enter the blooming. The person at the center determines the fears, to be faced unconsciously, and the helpers must find the center person within the dream to aid them. However if their fear is loneliness the other participants may never appear in the dream till the center person faces their fear. their is a 30 minute limit to the dream, and the group must finish within this time. If anyone dies within the dream, they are simply removed from the dream, and brought back to consciousness.
