Travelers

A guild founded in the Lightfoot Nation, it is has since spread far and wide across Tomeria and contains a wide and diverse collection of characters and smaller groups containing everything from tinkerers, blacksmith, to traders, it has developed a reputation for using these groups to peddle it's most valuable property, information.

Structure

The Travelers are a very spread-out organization and are for the most part controlled by wherever their closest local guild is. However in large matters they may be called back to the Highlands Guild Headquarters. There they will take part in a council headed by the Guildmaster.

Culture

Known for its propensity to work with smugglers, thieves, and other less loved characters. The Travelers are first and foremost focusd around the pursuit of money and as they were traditionally Halflings they ended up naturally quite cut out for it.    With the rise in strong central governments however the Travelers have instead focused more on being spies, hired hands, and information brokers.

Public Agenda

To make profit. While those outside of the Halfling Nations may simply see the Travelers as a bunch of thieves and crooks, back at their home nations they are well received and much loved as they put many of the poorer or forgotten characters to work and give much back to the social programs they contain.

Assets

Known for their wide array of caravans of all kinds including those capable of desert trade, mountain trade, a sea port, and limited air travel.   When it comes to professions they are known for their wide array of assassins, chefs, merchants, thieves, information brokers, sell swords, and illusionists.

History

Formed during the War of Endless Aggression as the Halfling Nations needed a counter to the massive Orcish forces that blocked the Moldur Kingdom and thus formed an elite group that was designed around harassing the Orcish army.    They quickly grew into something more as they began finding that the Orcs thought that it was a much larger halfling force harassing them and was able to lead them into the desert setting up their major defeat at the hands of the Halfling army.
