Qualifications

To become the Triune, a Preterine must walk each of the ninefold paths—a way only they can pass. After this is accomplished and the last Triune has passed on, they ascend as Triune.

The Preterine must walk all the ninefold paths.

Appointment

After the death of the previous Triune, the Preterine is formally recognized by the Apostolate and consecrated before the Church by passing through the Sacred Torch and retrieving one of the relics.

Duties

The Triune must uphold the moral character and activity of the Church of Kol.

Responsibilities

The triune adjudicates in major disputes within and without the Church, as well as sets its tone and direction. They control its assets and military power. They also fulfill the role of statesman and important ceremonial roles in the church and for the thrones of the Northern Kingdoms.

The Triune wears a unique red cassock emblazoned with the unified emblems of the Aspects.

Grounds for Removal/Dismissal

The Triune can only be removed by the forces of Heaven itself. Functionally, this takes the form of a coup that ends in the death of the Triune, an event that has only occurred once.
