Overview & Appearance

Voidheart Resin is a biproduct of the Abyssal Weaver, produced from its spinnerets it possesses powerful extradimensional properties that have applications across a variety of industries from acting as a powerful, if not unstable source of fuel in almost any device, to other more refined uses. The resin itself appears as a black iridescent crystal with purple and green hues. It has a smooth and slightly viscous texture with a faint pulsating quality when exposed to certain stimuli.

Properties

The resin itself emits strong eldritch radiation, emitting a subtle eerie glow that seems to absorb light casting a dark shadow around itself. While the resin itself possesses strength similar to that of diamond, it become easily pliable when exposed to high levels of heat but sees no change to its otherworldly properties. Proximity can have subtle influence on the psyche of organic beings, causing strange visions, unsettling sensations and even mild cases of mania in some individuals. This is likely a result of the resins strong dimensional resonance holding a connection to realms beyond our own. Proximity to the resin for extended periods can result in accelerated decay to non-living objects unless properly shielded.

Regulation, Trade & Control

While no laws exist pertaining to the marketing and distribution of the resin, it is classed a controlled substance due to its eldritch nature and the potential for its misuse. All merchants or professionals in possession of the resin must ensure it is held at all times in specially crafted containers resistant to its corrosive and corrupting properties.
