Arc 3: Dragon Counter Courters
The party, including Mal, Roz Ela, Daffodil, Durvrak Thunderfury, Oma Nyx, and Chai travel to Hillcrest upon receiving a request from the dragon Aboleen, an old friend of Daff's, to deal with some suitors and a matchmaker that were causing problems before her wedding to Zilfree. When they arrive, they chat with Zilfree, who says Aboleen is very busy but gives some information about where to find the suitors, who have to be dissuaded from participating in a binding ritual that a witch has set up to occur.
The party continually passes tests and feats of various skills in order to dissuade the suitors from participating in the ritual. However, they still must stop the matchmaker from continuing with her matchmaking. It seems she's actually found one of the suitors, knocked them unconscious, and brought them to the ritual circle. When the party attacks, she turns into a dragon, and they fight her off until she's about half-dead. Around that time, Aboleen shows up in dragon-form, fights with the matchmaker, and casts a spell to modify her memories of Hillcrest and potentially even her own memories of Aboleen. It's revealed that the matchmaker was actually Aboleen's mother, Zilfree was the one who had actually sent Daff the letter, and that Aboleen had no idea that Zilfree had sent a letter to Daff and their adventuring party to deal with the matchmaking problem.
