Oma Nyx
Oma Nyx (she/her) is a character played by Shannon (she/her) in Arc 3: Dragon Counter Courters. She is a Level 6 Rock Gnome Wild Magic Sorcerer with an acolyte background.
In the center of the Northern Mountains lies Wraque-Zhyr (pronounced Rockshire). This has been the rock gnomes main city and sanctuary for as long as anyone can remember. Certain stories tell of Halfling and Gnomes working together to build two separate but equal cities, but those stories have been lost to time. Caves have been excavated as little homes and businesses. This is a cozy, but large city full of artists, business-gnomes, adventure, and secrets. This is the hometown of Ona Nyx who left when she was enlisted in Operation Obsidian Trail. N'Revac, the gnomish city to the east of The Sun Soul Monastery on the other side of the mountains the gnomes here are more friendly to outside sources, trading with he monks and other travellers who come their way. They were shocked when a young Oma Nyx arrived, bloody and scarred to deliver to their leaders a package of a Rune Stone and a letter. Oma left before anyone could ask anymore from her and did not stick around to see the result of Operation Obsidian Trail.
Description
3 ft 2 inches tall with short fluffy graying hair. She has long fingers and pointed ears with barely visible scars across the side of the cheek near her jawline.. She wears sensible brown boots and brown pants with a forest green tunic and old blueish-gray cloak. She wears an arcane focus of an opal necklace close to her heart. Oma Nyx has always tried to be the quiet sensible one, but the wild magic coursing at her fingertrips has sometimes had other plans. She is not very physically strong but uses her high intelligence and charisma to think her way out of situations. She has abandoned the other gnomes in spite after a mission gone wrong.Backstory
Oma Nyx lived with the biggest clan of gnomes that lives in the range above the tundra. Her hometown, Wrauque-zhyr (pronounced "Rockshire") was a gnomish sanctuary from the wilds of the tundra and the whispers of the RedWillow Forest, Oma was a young sorcerer who was enlisted by the Gnomish Elders, the Sred'Le to travel to the gnomish city of N'Revac. Their mission, Operation Obsidian Trail, was to set up a series of Rune Stones to set up a "Teleportation Pathway" to get to their isolated cousins. The void magic of the tundra interferes with regular teleportation and this was their roundabout solution. There was one Rune Stone to be placed in the RedWillow Forest and the other places in N'Revac. Oma was the only survivor of their trek through the RedWillow Forest due to a wild magic surge that saved her life. She was able to deliver the rune stone but was unable to stay with the clan due to the horrors of what she had seen during the trip. Since that time she has connected with the Arc 3 party and set her sights on a better life in the future.During Arc 3
