Selene's Palace
Selene's Palace is the central point of The Land of Night. It is a grand building, towering over the rest of the land, its bright walls being like a second moon to the people. The palace is very clean and well-maintained. This spotless, grand palace is the home of the goddess, Selene. It is often used as a place of worship, especially on holidays.
This palace has many spare rooms that can be used to temporarily house people if they lose their homes, jobs, et cetera. It accepts donations of food, clothes, toiletry, and more for people who don't have quite enough money for their basic necessities. It also accepts money itself. In full, Selene's Palace acts not only as a religious center, but also a charity.
Purpose / Function
The primary purpose of Selene's Palace is to house, protect, and create a sanctuary to worship the goddess.
Alterations
The castle has been expanded over the years, each new portion of the building housing new pieces of culture for tourists to admire.
Architecture
The palace walls are made of marble, and the floors are made of wood.
Defenses
Like most of The Land of Night, Selene's palace lacks defenses. While it's easy to break into, it is, however, very difficult to find your way to Selene's room. Perhaps her position in the highest tower in the most confusing hall is the true defense of the palace.
Tourism
Many people who tour The Land of Night visit Selene's Palace. It has an incredible collection of art and culture, exceeded only by the chance to meet Selene in person. Most people don't stay in The Land of Night for more than a tour of the Palace.
