Personal history

Young Life

Drakkeir was born a member of the late Black Dragon’s brood. Eggs found deep underground during the Silverhand Expedition were nursed for by Kromadin Drummaster which gave birth to several Dragonborn, with Drakkeir being the only one to survive past infancy.   Raised alongside Dwarves, Drakkeir was quickly integrated into a large society and spent most of his young life working alongside them during the expedition. The Dwarves quickly took to appreciating and praising his strength; and as he grew older, loved the utility gained from his unique abilities.   Drakkeir was fourteen when the Silverhand Expedition transitioned to the Agrammon Project. As things evolved, Drakkeir was frequently urged by Kromadin to stay behind. With more people coming from a variety of cities following the War of the Red Dragon, Kromadin did not wish for Drakkeir to cause any alarm or suspicion.   As soon as he hit 16 he would attempt to join Kromadin in the explorer's guild, the protests were soon given way and he was allowed to assist within the headquarters but not out in the caves. He saw himself as able bodied enough and would venture out to help adventuring parties. Thinking himself experienced enough eventually he would start going to more and more dangerous caverns, in one such expedition his party was ambushed by kobolds. In a six-man party, four were slain almost immediately, leaving only Drakkeir and Ayda fighting their way to safety.    The humbled Drakkeir left the caves traumatized, nursed back to health by Ayda. He still holds a grudge against any kobold he may run into, flying blindly into a rage.

Acidtongue

It was when Drakkeir was twenty-one that the Gladiator Layer first gained popularity. Kromadin offered to take Drakkeir to visit the Layer and watch as combatants battled to submission. What initially began as apprehension soon turned into passion. The Dragonborn fell in love with watching trained fighters duel with passion and flourish; battles were not malicious events, but displays of skill. Of all, he idolized Valgoth, an Orc renown for his skill with a battle axe. Valgoth’s combat style was furious, but calculated. His confidence was derived from experience, and the Orc could calculate an enemy’s aptitude within a second of meeting on the battlefield.   Drakkeir — having limited resources — spent hours a day training at home with crude weapons. His focus was to be able to use anything at his disposal; he did not want to rely on specialty blades or cheap tricks. Kromadin noticed the Dragonborn’s passion and found a mentor in Valgoth, who would regularly meet with Drakkeir to assist him with his training.   The Dragonborn quickly warmed up to Valgoth, who had never allowed the common fear of Orcs to deter him from making a show. On the contrary, he believed it made him a true entertainer. It was through this encouragement that Drakkeir eventually decided to compete in the Gladiator Layer, earning a name for himself as Acidtongue — a reflection of his draconic abilities and his clever battlefield taunts.   As Agrammon’s popularity has risen, so has the Gladiator’s Layer. With such popularity, new tests of skill have been added. The Dual Challengers’ League opened to accommodate two side-by-side combatants to be pit up against another. Upon learning of this, Drakkeir immediately sought out Valgoth as an attempt to finally fight side-by-side with his mentor. Much to his dismay, Valgoth already found a partner in Alzen, a Half-Elf skilled in the use of twin blades.   Drakkeir refused to let his disappointment deter him from entering the ring. The Dragonborn sought to find a companion who will not only accept him as Valgoth did, but hone their fighting skills alongside him and rise to the top of the Dual Challengers’ League to prove to Valgoth how far he’d come.

The Black Dragon’s Champion

During the events of the Summoning of Balanor, Drakkeir was a key member of the Rowdy Boys. Initially involved with The Stone during their debut as Rocktongue in the Gladiator’s Layer of Agrammon, he led a group into the city’s Expedition Layer where they unearthed Balanor’s Armor.   In the following week, Drakkeir was a prominent figure in resolving the crises in Agrammon alongside the rest of the Rowdy Boys, but was briefly incapacitated during an encounter with Ezreal Iantris. As he lay unconscious, the spirit of the Black Dragon of Tilorum reached out to him and made a pact with Drakkeir to fulfill the Black Dragon’s will as the last surviving Black Dragonborn. Drakkeir agreed, and awoke to find himself more powerful than he was prior, with his eyes now radiating the same red and black appearance of the Black Dragon’s.   With his newfound power, Drakkeir helped lead a charge alongside many Agrammon natives to defeat Balanor in the Expedition Layer. With his city secured, Drakkeir was recruited to the Agrammon International Investigation Agency by Chief Architect Grammoth Silverhand. His first mission was to accompany The Stone to the Merchant’s Confederacy and investigate the influence of Ezreal Iantris in the nation.

Social

Contacts & Relations

Valgoth

A Half-Orc originally from the Eastern Continent, Valgoth traveled throughout the world in search of mentors who would teach him the ways of combat throughout Tilorum. While he excels at no one form, his ability to adapt on the fly to overcome his opponent is what has set him apart as an incredible combatant.   When Agrammon’s Gladiator Layer first gained popularity, Valgoth dropped everything to make his way out to the city so he could not only prove himself as one of the best fighters in Tilorum, but teach his techniques to a new generation.

Camilla Vendoth

A human originally from the Dusael Empire who famously stole a military ship with her crew of pirates. She came to Agrammon on a whim and fell in love with betting on and competing in the Gladiator's layer.   Known for her skill with two blades, she's always found a way to fight with underhanded and unexpected tactics which has thrown off Drakkeir in every encounter with her. Following fights, she has been known to taunt her opponents, including Drakkeir, which has resulted in an obvious animosity between the two of them.

Social Aptitude

Hes charismatic and very direct with what he wants. He can sound cocky at times but he doesn't say anything that he cannot back up or is willing to accept the repercussions of.
