Harrowbelle

As you crest the hill, you are met with an imposing sight. Great walls of granite rise from a rolling sea of snow, ominous and majestic in scale. 60 feet high, and 15 foot thick, they’ve been augmented with spikes and spines formed out of a glowing blue ice to form an imposing defense against the foes of Calderon. Spires stand along it’s length, armed with Ballista, Catapults, and Spell Towers, each manned by a contingent of the city guard. It appears that in the frozen north, the nobility seem to view survival as a privilege, not a right.
As you pass inside the gates, across the spike moat, and beneath the heavy iron portcullis, you step into the city proper, and are met by a rush of color, scent, and sound. The chatter of merchants hawking their wares and children rushing about underfoot competes with the the fife and drum of a band of street musicians, only to be drowned out by the trod of booted feet as a regiment marches by on their way to relieve those upon the walls. The air, warmed by a massive series of charms bound into the city streets themselves, is rich with the scent of spiced wine and roasting meat and the musk of drying furs.

Harrow Bell is a thriving city, well armed against the dangers of the north, and people from all over come to hawk their wares, bringing fresh fruit and grain from the south, or timber, furs, and syrups from the north. This city is one of the first lines of defense against such dangers as Dragons, Giants, marauding Berserker Tribes and the armies of the undead that wind their way back through myth and legend. Led by Duke Dillon Wintershod and the council of seven, this is the thriving heart of the north

Demographics

The city has 43 lesser nobles in residence. The peace is kept by 65 guardsmen and there is a standing force of 100 soldiers manning the wall.There are 18 advocates to assist with legal matters. For those more concerned about their soul, there are 332 clergymen and 8 bishops. 2214 children, 7415 adults, 3707 of which are single. 2779 residential buildings, 926 of which are single family houses and 1853 of which are multifamily apartments/tenements
