Tory Nari
Lady Tory Bimmin- Nari
Wife of the Lord Chamberlain of the High Kingdom of Imesse, and older sister of the Duke of Hekmo, Turl am Nari. Born the second child of the former Duke, Torn am Nari, Tory married Talmage am Bimmin at the insistance of her father at the age of 20. The marriage to the House of Bimmin was a good one in the eyes of the Duke, but Tory had no interest in the erudite young man from Scaram and agreed to the marriage only out of a deep sense of duty to her family.
Tory is a strong and very willful woman. She was a large and controlling factor in her husband's career at Court, and her sense of duty eventually extended to her gentle and unobtrusive husband. They eventually managed to have four children: three daughters and a son. Tory has carefully and quite forcibly arranged very advanteous marriages for the daughters, but has given up all hope for a successful match for her son, Stoddard, whom she sees as a spoiled and witless sycophant to the more assertive and dominant men of the Court.

General Physical Condition
Tory was a renowned beauty in her youth, and still retains much of her regal bearing and beauty, but the years have worn her down considerably. Her once lusterous dark hair is now frost-white, and she is wracked with arthritis in her hands and knees.

Personal history
Married at the age of twenty to a man she didn't like or respect. However, her husband gained position and influence quickly within the Royal Court at Northridge, and Tory eventually began to see her husband as a means to an end rather than as a burden to be shouldered.
Tory gave birth to three daughters and a son. Her second daughter, Esme, was married to Sandor am Toricki at her mother's insistence. This match was the only time her husband, Talmage, voiced any reservations about Tory's efforts to structure and arrange the lives of their children. Tory's plans carried through, however, and in 211 AF, Esme and Sandor were wed. Less than a year later, the couple gave birth to a daughter, Sara, and all seemed well. Then, less than a month after the birth, Esme was found dead in her bed by her husband. No cause was determined other than complications from birth.

Tory is a cold and calculating woman. Very intelligent and driven to see her family succeed in all things, she is focused only on the goals she has set for the family, and cares very little for the cost or effort involved in reaching those goals.

Tory maintains a cold and impersonal but near constant communication with her brother, Turl am Nari. She continues to try and maintain a relationship with her son-in-law, Sandor am Toricki and her granddaughter, Sara, but it is not often reciprocated by either of them.
Social Aptitude
Since the death of her daughter, Esme, Tory does not socialize much at all. She tends to sit in her small but comfortable apartments in her Northridge estate and manage her family's affairs from there, alone and unhindered.
