Nyall Dalbrok
Ryuri, Lord Nyall Dalbrok
Nyall Dalbrok is the Ryuri of the Dalbrok Clan of southeastern Colo. He is a 65-year-old Human and has been Ryuri for the last 35 years. He has one surviving son, Dannen Dalbrok, and three daughters. His wife died eleven years ago and Nyall has lived alone ever since.
Nyall became Ryuri after the death of his father, Lyam Dalbrok, was killed fighting a troop of Hill Giants that were ravaging the coast in the north of the Clan's territory. Lyam had not been a popular Ryuri amongst the Dalbrok Clan, spending outrageous amounts of Clan monies on extravagant hunts and huge festivals that ran the Clan's coffers nearly empty.
Nyall began his reign with a drastic cut in spending, and took it upon himself to reduce the taxes due from the people by half. This instantly made him the most popular Ryuri in living memory and began an economic boom that lasted nearly 15 years. It took the invasion of Colo by the High Kingdom of Imesse to finally slow down the economic machine Nyall had gotten started.
Peace has returned to the Dalbrok territory and Nyall is still as popular as ever.
Physical Description
General Physical Condition
Nyall was always exceptionally fit and active, and still maintains a dedicated regimen of exercise to keep his body and mind fit. His hair and beard are all white now, and he wears both long and braided in the traditional Colian fashion.
Apparel & Accessories
Aside from his ceremonial wolf's fur mantle that denotes his role as Clan Ryuri, Nyall is always seen to wear a necklace of wyvern's fangs, each one harvested from a successful kill by the Ryuri himself.

Personal history
Nyall is credited with one of the most lopsided victories in the entire Second Northern War. In October of 215 AF, Nyall led a force of 1,100 Dalbrok knights to the Dorn Gap, where a force more than twice as large was moving to invade the Dalbrok territory. This Imessian force was led by the Duke of Len Doa, Lewin am Ahmi. In a single frontal charge, Nyall led his knights against a force that outnumbered his by two-to-one and crushed the invading enemy in less than two hours of fighting. Of the 2,500 Imessian knights and men-at-arms, more than 1,000 were killed, including Duke Lewin. The remaining Imessians were routed and fled back to the border, mostly on foot. Nyall is still referred to as the Defender of Dorn by his people.
Accomplishments & Achievements
Nyall inherited his father's love of hunting, but rather than following that passion with expensive and excessive forays far from his home, Nyall has made it a habit to hunt wyvern every single spring. This has the advantage of providing the Ryuri with a (very) challenging hunt and removing a real and measurable threat to his Clan's health and livelihood. He has taken a fang from every successful wyvern kill and strung it onto a necklace he wears daily. The necklace currently has 48 fangs on it.

Likes & Dislikes
Nyall is an avid drinker of many varieties of Thallian teas, and regularly imports dozens of barrels of the dried and packed leaves from such producers as Ardmor, Balmorlynn, and Innisfrey Black Leaf just to name a few. He is quite generous with his teas and seems to appreciate others that share his love of the flavorful infusions.
Wealth & Financial state
While obviously very wealthy, the Ryuri is not ostentatiously so. He wears traditional styles of clothing, does not travel accept when absolutely necessary, and does not host expensive events at the Clan's expense. He is due 40% of the sale price for every single slave sold in the Clan territory, but that money is then coffered for use in maintenance or improvements to the infrastructure of the territory.
One particularly profitable venture that the Ryuri has undertaken is the ownership of a fleet of trading vessels that number eleven large longships. These ships make multiple voyages to and from the Thall Islands with incredibly valuable cargoes and trade goods that have netted the Ryuri's family tens of thousands of marks every year since he took the title.
