Marlo am Tabori

Lord Baron Marlo am Tabori

Marlo am Tabori was the Baron of Mull and the head of the Noble House of Tabori from 128 AF until his death in 146 AF during the Second Great Orc War. Marlo became Baron when his father, Arlys am Tabori, was killed in a duel with a fellow nobleman from Wennick. Marlo was a dedicated and thoughtful Baron, committed to the prosperity and security of his subjects and the Kingdom in general. He was especially remembered as a just and fair judge for the people that came to Mull Castle to petition his justice, even by those he judged against.

Marlo had been engaged to the daughter of one of the wealthiest and most influential lords of all the northern Kingdom of Imesse. He married Ollia Lothman only 5 months after being elevated to the baronial seat, and the union produced a fine and healthy son they named Alfor. The boy was followed by three daughters that all grew to be beautiful and healthy women.

As Baron, Marlo was a very vocal proponent of swift and effective defense against attack, and as his wife's family had reported increasing raids and harassment by Orcs beginning early in the year 146 AF, he rode west to the City of Mordar with twenty of his finest knights to assist them in their defenses. Arriving at River Tower in mid-January, Marlo spent several weeks riding with his knights and learning the lay of the land. In the last days of February 146 AF, a horde known today as numbering more than 10,000 strong swept through the Morloth Valley, killing and destroying everything and everyone they encountered. The Baron and most of his knights were never heard from again, but two of Marlo's riders did reach River Tower in time to warn the city of the wave of destruction that was about to descend on them. This warning has been credited with saving the lives of nearly 9,000 innocent people that would otherwise have been caught utterly unaware of what was coming.
