Company Hall
Company Hall is a section, or "wing" as the Jermin's refer to it, of the larger Jermin House. It is an extension of the upper wing's deep foundations and cellars, and is the primary quarters, offices and vault of the Jermin Family and the Jermin Hill Mine. Company Hall can be divided into two distinct sections: the Vault and the Hall.
The Vault is a large section of the wing defined by the massive foundations of the residence hall that was built above the Company Hall. It has one primary entrance to the outside of the Hall, with one ancillary entrance from the Docks that leads to the Vault entrance. The vault itself is found inside the chambers of the residence hall's structural foundations, the walls of which are more than 10' of massive cut granite stones and corner footings of nearly 30' square dimensions. The chambers within the vault are accessed through a passage with three heavily secured and constantly guarded doors of various designs meant to keep the vault as secure as possible at all times.
Within the vault are the ingots of silver mined, refined and smelted into bars of between 10 and 30 lbs of weight and each is at least 90% pure silver. In addition to the silver, there is a significant quantity of refined lead, tin and even five 12 lbs bars of pure gold, all of which have been mined out of the same mines as the silver. These supplies of high grade metals are the personal property of the Jermin Family and the reserves of the Jermin Hill Mine Company.
The Hall sections are all the portions of the space not included in the Vault section. Barracks, a large kitchen, gathering and dining hall, and a bathing room are all included in this space. The Hall has its own exterior entrance on the north end of the building and a smaller side entrance/exit at the bathing room. The ceilings of the Hall are slightly lower but with wider vaulting in the roof than the Vault ceilings. Construction materials for both sections are basically identical.
