al'Amir of Cartor

al'Amir (or "the Amir", meaning "the Prince") of Cartor is the title of the ruling monarch of the Amirate of Cartor. The Amir is the highest political, military, judicial and religious authority in the Amirate. His word is final and his will is law. He is the Hand of Samas and the Sword of Cartor.
The Amir is also the highest priestly figure within the Cult of Samas and officiates at all sacrificial ceremonies the cult holds.
