Dominion of Tiorvia
A country that stretches along most of the southern coast of Aifas
The Tiorvian Peninsular region is the seat of commercial, cultural and political power in Tiorvia. Contains the Capital
Fordinham, and the largest City, Akess
SouthWest Coast
The Southern Coast of Aifas is separated from the rest of the continent by the Igobartian Mountains. This area contains a number of small cities. Most of the population is concentrated on the Coast.Interior
The Mountains stretch across the northern border of Tiorvia. This area is largely undeveloped, the are few towns and cities aside from small trading posts. Weather in the mountains can be treacherous and unseasonable.Structure
The Dominion of Tiorvia is controlled by the guilds and organizations that make up the life of the citizenry. There is a guild of merchants, the church, the military, the guild of labor, the harbor guild, the craftsmens guild, the schools of magic, etc. Who has a seat at which table is somewhat fluid, depending on what powers are important in what area. In general, a given area such as a city, or even a ward within a city, will have a local council. That local council is under the council of a larger area, such as a province, that meets in the province capitol, and those councils are under the rule of the Tiorvian Council that meets in Fordinham. Leaders are selected the members of each faction (such as a local hunters guild) that might rolled into a larger guild at a higher level. It's complicated. In theory, every local interest group will have some influence on the Seven Seat Tiorvian Council, in practice, only the largest and most powerful, widespread guilds have any influence.
Culture
The majority of the Tiorvia's half elf and halfling population would describe themselves as Yorta Culture.
History
The Dominion was formed as a response to the creation of the Grand Duchy of Numash and the Joenese Kingdom in the scholarly year 1498, about 150 years ago. Prior to that, most of Southern Aifas was locally governed and the guild system held sway. The rise of Nationalism in their immediate neighbors created a drive in along the southern coast (in response to the Duchy) and on the Peninsula (in response to the Kingdon) to create stronger military ties and present a united front. The two confederations gradually blended into one, with the capital being placed in the port city of Fordinham.

Allied
There are strong trade and cultural ties between the Kingdom and the Dominion. Given the stronger and recent military threat from the See of Jaria, the alliance between the two countries has only strengthed over the years.
There is certainly an amount of diplomatic war going on, with various guilds trying to influence policy to the advantage of one region over another, but this is tolerated.
Neutral
Neutral
The Grand Duchy of Numash is more militaristic and nationalistic than the Joenese Kingdom. There is a level of mistrust, in particular in Western Tiorvia, as to whether the Duchy will attempt to expand to the Southern Coast. However, relations have been largely peaceful, with only a few incidents and minor skirmishes.
