Trpagna
A large continent of Panagia.
Trpagna is the largest continent of mostly lava on the planet. With a number of floating islands around and over it, many metallic resources are available but have not been exploited to a significant degree by the Harkas living there. Instead, they obtain resources from the sun. Due to the massive ambient heat, a lot of energy can be obtained and photosynthesized, allowing the Trpagnan populations to sustain significant military forces, most of which were very large creatures. Now that they are unified into the HF though, there is no longer any need for a massive planetary military outside of a defence force. Now it provides a lot of food to the population of the UAC.
Trpagna is now also lightly mined by the HF with permission from the local population. The metal rich lava is quite valuable to them and the light extraction of this does not harm the ecosystem or Harkas.
In the warring eras of the harkas, Trpagna has formed a huge number of very small nations. This was sustainable through the massive availability of biological resources. Unification of the nation was very difficult and it took a massive number of wars and deaths to happen. Their rapid reproduction would allow them to recover and challenge the other nations. They unified later than other nations but when they did they were very powerful.
Some organisms evolved or were engineered to live in or near lava. Later, as the UAC obtained QEN "Technology", they became able to build biological submarines and even visit the core of their home star. The lava creatures were used in war to strike enemy positions stealthily. It is harder to detect an organism in lava. This strategy was unusable outside of the lava area of their planet though. The strategy was effective enough for some battles to involve specially engineered harkas that could swim in shallow lava and launch ambush infantry assaults.
Trpagna also used the Taidakic Field to their advantage, like most nations. Building flying creatures, they could fire heat based weapons from long range, which they found effective against non-heat resistant organisms.
Despite the massive availability of food for the Trpagnans, they were eventually conquered by another massive global force. Due to their late unification, other nations could form alliances with each other unlike the Trpagnans, who at the time were brand new to the global scene. Though they fought hard, they eventually fell to the massive coalition which was comprised of most of the planet. After dissecting some Trpagnan organisms, they managed to engineer their own heatproof creatures which allowed them to attack and hold the new territory.
