Sting Fish

A species of fish native to Sulethis, the homeworld of the Sulethis Republic.

The Sting Fish is known for the several appendages on its body. These are to deliver several thousand volts to its prey and then eat them.
The Sting Fish are far too small to eat large species such as humans or To'rer'ot, but they still consider them dangerous. It is often taught in schools to avoid the Sting Fish as to not provoke it into defending itself, even if the peson has no harmful intent. However, the to'rer'ot can eat them and often do. After fishing them out of the water, they lose most of the ability to move the shocking appendages as it is far easier for them to move them while in water. The to'rer'ot still cover them in a highly electricity resistant blanket before removing the appendages, as well as using a very resistant knife. This way there is very little risk of electric shock or electrocution.s.    The Sting Fish reproduce asexually and as such can vary significantly in colour and body shape. Almost all colours except white has been found, and they can even vary in size from about 10 cm in length to almost 1 meter. This causes them to be one of the most significantly varying species on Sulethis. The Sting Fish are often slightly slower than other similar fish due to the non aquadynamic shocking appendages, but this has little impact on their speed so they might still catch up to their prey. They often leave the appendages trailing behind them to reduce the frontal cross section and allow slightly higher speed
