Sentinel - Class Flak Destroyer
Destroyer as used by the Hyperion Federation, designed by a Irziell team.
Armed with 58 size 4 High Energy Turret Hardpoints, the ship was designed to counter swarms of smaller ships and drones. It also has 3 larger turret bases, 2 of which are typically equipped with Teravolt Area Denial Tesla weapons.
Its shielding relies mainly on its gravielectromagnetic field, which will deflect charged particles such as electrons in addition to anything with mass. This form of shielding has a more significant effect against massed, small fire.
At 2 km long, it is the main protector of Federation fleets from small craft.
