Nomads of Dawn

The mirror universe version of the Tranal Nomads. They are on the Hyperion Empire side of the Fracture.

The ND features many properties that are very similar to the Tranal Nomads. They are highly nomadic by nature, life primarily on worldships and the Banfranal were engineered in the mirror universe. What differs, however, is that rather than visiting each factions territory peacefully, they rely on extremely powerful cloaking to remain hidden within other faction territory. They then exploit other factions resource sources for themselves.
This can alert the faction to their presence however, hence why their ships are designed to be fast. They can get in, mine, and get out before they have noticed. Infiltrating the Hyperion Federation in this way is notoriously difficult as they protect their information heavily. They have never recovered HF technology, but have recovered some resources the HF would have otherwise mined. Most factions would shoot them on sight. If they are revealed, however, they still have a military. Worldships are still incredibly well armed - though not to the extent that the TN worldships are. They are also less shielded and armoured. Due to this, admirals of these fleets are highly careful despite the cloaking device.
Like the regular TN, the ND are incapable of planetary life. Even if they were, they are culturally prevented from doing so. They see planetary life as weak and vulnerable because it is not mobile. The ND and TN very rarely detect each other. When they do, though, they usually open fire on one another as they both break a fundamental cultural rule of the other. It does happen, but it is incredibly rare to see 2 worldships fighting each other. The banfranal also have unique needs in this side of the universe. Although their needs are met and prodided by the state, they are quite highly oppresed, but many other cultures often see their life as quite utopian. This is in contrast to the TN, where they appear oppressed but are treated well by society. The ND has been known to sometimes abduct people from other factions. Due to this, they have a highly multi species society, but their bones often weaken after mere days due to the complete lack of gravity. It is nearly impossible to fight back against the banfranal in a low gravity environment.
