Nbnla Class Frigate

The Nbnla - class is designed to fill a support role more than combat role. It has a large electronic warfare package, a decently large cargo hold, several anti ship missiles and a strong, long range CIWS anti missile defence. Frigates like these often protect larger formations of the Tranal Nomads from various enemy craft, while capable of dishing out its own firepower using the missiles and Ewar. The missile defence can also (and often do) also fire at smaller craft such as fighters and drones, but performs notably better against missiles.
In an actual battle though, Nbnla classes require a force to escort. Without this, it has little firepower or protection (missiles can be intercepted by enemies, so it is best not to rely on them). In line with TN doctrine, the frigate has been made exceptionally fast, even for a frigate. Making use of its Reversible Thrusters, it can easily exceed the mobiilty of even the Atmospheric Frigate - a Hyperion Federation starship - which is an immense task for a faction with a much lower technological base.
The Nbnla also has all of its systems effectively compartmentalized which provides excellent redundancy which gives it time to retreat even if hit, despite its weakly armoured nature. This can give it a surprising toughness, though the TN would need to repair it each time. They are also one of the most used and oldest starships of the TN. The Nbnla class has a long, reliable track record, one reliable enough for the crews to trust their lives on it usually.
