Cypher

Homeworld of the Cyphean race of the Cypher Dominion.
Cypher is abnormally large. Although this gives it a strong gravitational field, life on the planet evolved for the conditions. Also, this meant that the planet had a larger surface area, allowing it to sustain more life and give mining organisations a large area of land to mine. Because of this, the CD prospered early on as a type 1.1-1.6 civilization. The world also has many unpredicable weather patterns.
Cypher had a large amount of oceans on the world. About 70% of the surface area of the world was taken by ocean, but these have since dried up to build more cities in them. Most of the world is now covered in cities with little wildlife left on the world. However, it has been almost completely mined of all its natural resources so now it serves administrative, scientific and other alternate uses. Its data output is immensely high, so it has a lot of relay stations and data centres on the surface. It also has 3 space elevators, all of which have a high capacity. This allows them to move people and goods to and from orbit quickly and easily. The world has a lot of orbiting defence platforms, so it would require a very powerful force to capture Cypher.
