Cyphean
The only surviving race of the Cypher Dominion. Without the mind control chips, cypheans are individually sapient.
The Cyphean race was actually the result of experimentation by alien forces. Those aliens seed 2 sapient races on Cypher. They had many wars with each other, until the aliens made both sides infertile and only allowing them to crossbreed. Cypheans were the result of this. By some exotic biological reaction, cypheans became asexual.
Basic Information
Anatomy
Cypheans have a mostly humanoid anatomy. They have noticeably shorter arms though, and the lower leg joint is a ball socket joint giving them more mobility at the cost of making the joint less structurally strong. They also have 6 fingers and no thumb, but their fingers are positioned in such a way to allow them to take the role of the thumb if needed.
Biological Traits
Cypheans are macroscopic, sapient single-cellular organisms. They dont have organs, instead their body does all kinds of bioogical processes. Should something penetrate their skin, their body takes much longer to recover than most species. Injuries can sometimes be more fatal to a Cyphean than other species when their blood leaks.
Genetics and Reproduction
Cypheans undergo mitosis. After being born, or giving birth, they must age for about 10 years before growing to a sufficiently large size to undergo reproduciton.
Dietary Needs and Habits
Cypheans are omnivorous, and tend to eat things whole (by absorbing food through the skin) but anything they cannot digest (e.g. bones) is expelled through the skin in a similar way it is absorbed. Food is broken apart by some symbiotic species of bacteria which is present in almost every location of the body. This way a cyphean can digest a very large amount of food simultaneously.
They can also in some cases exibit bioluminescent properties. They would glow a bright red. This can happen due to a biproduct of the symbiotic digestion bacteria after they eat a lot of food. This is also how the body can expend excess energy.

Perception and Sensory Capabilities
Cypheans have 2 eyes on their head like most humanoids, but can only see higher frequencies of the EM spectrum. This is due to the class F star that the cyphean homeworld orbits, emitting higher frequency EM radiation without their atmosphere absorbing the higher frequency radiation. They have a far superior narrow view hearing, and are able to even determine the bearings of sound sources from nearby, but they notably have difficlty with long distance sound. Cypheans can also taste and touch feel like most species.
