Daniel is actually a local boy from the eastern part of the state. He came to Western State University to try to do something practical, like his parents want him to. Something like civil engineering. And, without question, that's what Daniel set off to do.
But once he was far enough away from the constant watchful eye of his parents, Daniel begins to see there's more beyond the family shelter. He begins to question life, like a lot of college kids do. That's when the dreams started. These weren't just strange dreams. They started to feel more and more like reality. And they revealed more and more about the universe than Daniel hadn't even sought.
On the verge of seeking medical psychiatric help, Daniel found himself in his most vivid and realistic dream yet. Only it wasn't a dream. It was somehow both real and a dream. Because when he woke, he had the scars on his body to prove it.
Now on the path, Daniel has set out to find answers. But he's afraid of those answers.
