Sanadir

Where is Sanadir?

North of Izaeyaranth and south of famed Jadarkontalyia and Hydalath on the north-south trade corridor from Tirrtian Pass, Sanadir is a partly forested, partly hilly land of taiga and tundra. It is under the shadow of Phaerith and Mount Siastyllodil, a forbidding place that the locals do not visit, and hosts a trade route split to the east via the theome Bekrus Mountains.

Although it is a little known theome, Sanadir is also east by northeast of Ia-Tinorta and Kimroduntversillak.

How is Sanadir classified?

Missing. There's no sign of a land god, nor of miracles in its natural environment is concerned.

What kind of economy and population does Sanadir have?

Despite a lack of everquarries, this theome known for the quality of the stone quarried from its hills. Stone is not conventionally a good export from an icy theome, but there are two fortunate factors. Firstly, the theome is local to Izaeyaranth and Jadarkontalyia and Hydalath, both of which know to treasure the massive permanence of stone architecture. Secondly, the theome has enchanted iceways to offer to the sledges that pass through it briskly. These ensure that exporting stone is an ongoing possibility.

The enchanted sledgeways contribute to through-traffic as well, since Sanadir is a stretch of abnormally frictionless long-distance travel. There is a pass to the east of the theome where the routes veer north to cross a pass near the southern tip of the Arrakra Mountain Range.

As to the source of such magics in a Missing theome... The local library of Querent-Querent has successfully attracted a small, loyal population of geomancers who have given Sanadir a fairly good fate, despite the lack of Fate. As they tell visitors, "Geomancy touches every theome, including the Missing theomes, and it's a misconception that Missing theomes are inevitably poor of all magic."
