Lorma the Vegetarian

Who is Lorma the Vegetarian?

A very unusual grey-bronze vrash whose diet is more stand-out than her origin or employment. She is largely just a hauler of wagons with endurance that has been amply well-trained. Outside of caravan season, she runs a small farm.

Although she claims to be excited to travel and see many different places, having worked for several different caravans over the centuries of her lifetime, Lorma has such an exalted tolerance for boredom that she might be one of the Primordial Souls.

How did Lorma the Vegetarian get her surname?

She was raised by creative gardeners who were very proud of their broad and abundant garden's diverse produce, Lorma was raised to a great variety of fresh vegetable dishes and very little meat. The family bought flour from the market, among other things that they did not grow for themselves, but in the name of saving money refused to buy expensive meat products.

Although she is centuries from her upbringing, with that garden far away on the western tip of Tachamund and even her parents no longer working it, Lorma still has a broad knowledge of dishes that can be cooked without vegetables and a strong insistence that meat dishes are uncreative and unimpressive. She has even been known to fret for the pain that animals feel in being hunted!

There are not a lot of vegetarians among dragons, but the abundant yields that skilled vrash farmers can bring up provide for some temptation. She promotes her ideas mostly by cooking for the caravanners whenever Choave the Caravan Leader will let her. Which... he won't always, because Lorma is their only vegetarian. Yet she certainly always cooks during the Danundseer leg of the journey, as Danundseer has a notable selection of herbs and vegetables on its markets always, and many goods that Lorma can share with others.
