Dusky Lorhinatom

Where is Lorhinatom?

Along the banks of the swift river Lorniven which empties into the Great Lake Smaril, and just west of Imraziu and the League Tonturaseer, Dusky Lorhinatom is found. Farther along the river Lorniven from Lorhinatom, northeast of this place, is the theome Rhianasril.

How is Lorhinatom classified?

A strange thing occurs whenever anyone enters Lorhinatom: time advances normally until dusk, but there it stays. For this reason, plus occasional reports of apparitions in the theome, it is classified as a Mystic theome. However, there are hardly ever fatalities in Lorhinatom, so it is classified as Benevolent, being one of Theoma's rare Benevolent Mystic theomes.

What kind of population and economy lives in Lorhinatom?

There are a very few people who live in Lorhinatom. The ever-dusk is hard to work in, but it does not interfere with the growth of plants and animals in the theome. The south of the theome is forested, and has a few lumberers; some of them are doing honest work supplying Tonturaseer, while others are chasing high prices by claiming the rarity of lumber harvested from a mystic theome.

The north of the theome is a tundra that has seen a few farmers try to establish crops, though the conditions are poor and the harvests are often bittered by frost. The farmers of Lorhinatom have noticed that the everdusk may not be experienced by their plants: the plants respond to days and nights that the farmers themselves do not experience. An observant herbalist might also note that the flowers in the fields of Lorhinatom bloom as though the sun continued to pass by in regular time; likewise hunters in the theome see as though it were dusk all the time, while their prey sees better (by 'day') or worse (by 'night').

What land god reigns of over Lorhinatom?

The mystery of the ever-dusk of Lorhinatom has resisted all attempts by explorers to pierce it. The gentle weave of fate here does not resist exploration, but neither have explorers found signs of the local land god.
