Mount Karar'at

Mount Karar'at is the great craggy peak found at the exact center of The Wraith Globe. Water flows from deep within this mountain, and it is the spectacle of not only Khazan , but of the entire material plane. It gives life to The Bed of Roses, the Capital city of Khazan, and much of the swampy terrain of Algos. Towering at almost 30,000 feet, Karar'at has only been climbed by 6 people, 3 of which being Khazanians, one a Algorian, and two Ucruans. Climbing this peak is a feat that is of a legendary status, as the atmosphere get so thin near the peak that over 700 climbers had to back down 50 feet from the top. It is also believed that Karar'at was once the location of Artukos Palace when he first created the Wraith Globe. Historical records speak of an enormous peak, so most historians agree upon this, but it has still not been proved as actual fact. The peak is also rich in almost every mineral, except for magical ones. The nation of Ucrua has tried a total of 13 times to get rights to mine the mountain, but still have yet to succeed in their propostion to the Khazanian Government.

Purpose / Function

Mount Karar'at is a source of life for many Khazanians. Without the mountains spring water, Khazan would most likely be an uninhabitable desert wasteland, completely devoid of life or interest.

Alterations

The Khazanian Government is very strict about any building, mining, or alterations to Mount Karar'at. Much like the Bed of Roses, this absolutely majestic and awe inspiring peak is a national protected landmark to the Khazanian people, as without it, Khazan would most likely not exist at all.

History

Some of the first settlements of Khazan were built around Mount Karar'at due to the lush and fertile lands that it produces.
