The Wild Lands

The further from the center of the World’s Edge you go the lower the density of Qi gets. As such there is a section of plains between the Rim Kingdoms and the Spine which none of the local powers considers worth settling. It is however still relatively fertile, and thus is inhabited by quite a few independent villagers as well as roving bandit gangs and demon beasts. It serves mainly as a buffer that allows the powers of the World’s Edge to keep an eye out for anyone crossing the Spine.
