The Trial Of Mirrors
An ancient monolith standing alone in a cave deep in the wild lands. A cultivator may come here to do battle with a doppleganger of their own soul. If they succeed they will become far stronger. If they fail it will introduce lingering doubts that will hamper them for years to come.
Once per Major Realm a cultivator may attempt to test themselves against their doppleganger. This is a Quest action fighting a single cultivator equal to them in every way. Winning will result in making two cultivation rolls at the Venerable realm. Losing will inflict them with 30 corruption. Only Grandmasters or above can survive the trip to the Valley of the Forgotten.
