Stellar Constellations

Signs of Stars

The stars are constant in the sky, they do not move or change, however, there are different stars in different parts of the world. Sometimes, a star comes down, as it chooses a champion for Lyssaab, but when its done, it will return to its original place in the sky.
The stars are influenced by time, and as the days and weeks march on, the stars fluctuate in brightness, the always fluctuate together, and at constant rates, giving rise to different distinct constellations, that take turns lighting up the sky.

All stars are usually visible, except during a full moon when the dimmer stars disappear.

Continents

Every continent has its own constellations, which change over time, in some places they are more important than in others.

Both in Veskar and Armir there are people who find the stars important enough to name, and to ascribe titles to the constellations, but not so do the mystics of the east, they do have their own constellations, but they are not named, and nor are there any theories of the potential effects they might have.

Stellar scholars are still documenting the eastern skies, and drawing stellar maps for the different cycles.

Stellar Cycles

The changing of the stars doesn't perfectly line up with the length of the year, and in fact, the year allows for about one and a half stellar cycles to be completed.
despite different stars, and different skies, the stellar cycles happen at the same speed, and the same length everywhere in the world, they are the same cycles, just with different visible stars.

There are six cycles, each lasting about fifty days. There are periods on the edge of cycles where the stars of the new cycle have started to gain brightness, and the stars of the previous have started dimming, this is called the cycle border and people born during this period are said to have traits of both zodiacs. Such cycle borders last ten days, the first and last five days of a cycle.

Not all stars that are bright during a cycle are necessarily part of the constellation, and depending on where you are on each continent, the constellation might be in different parts of the sky, and you will see different lonely stars besides the constellation.
