About Elephants
These large herbivores are found on all continents, and each major landmass has its own elephant family, from which all species are descended. They are exceptionally large four-legged beasts, with long trunks, tusks, and flappy ears. they are generally bald, but on most continents, there is a hairy variant, which are called mammoths, these are found in colder areas and have the smallest ears.Veskar
Veskaren Elephants are generally large and bulky, their natural predators are direwolves and fiends, and they have adapted size and tusk shapes to accommodate this. They are only found on the main continent.The Veskaren Mammoth is found in much of the north, they are nearly extinct in the wild, but they are herder by both Dendorians and Dwarves alike. They are strong beasts of burden, but are difficult and costly to keep, which is why they arent that common. Their range used to extend as far south as the Yavin river, but they have gone extinct on the plains.
The Marn Elephant is found, as their name suggests, in the Marn forest. They have medium-sized ears and no fur. Their home forest used to be much larger, and in those days, this elephant was much more common. Now they are restricted to the wilder parts of the Marn slopes, especially in the Enyanian parts of the forest, where they are disturbed much less by Corporeals, as they are hunted for their tusks both in Westingham and Marn.
Enyanian Elephant is found in the rainforest, they have large ears, to aid in temperature regulation, and they are the largest herbivores in the forest. The Enyanians use them as pack animals, but they are still thriving in the wild.
Highland Mammoths are found in the Black mountains, they are nearly extinct, but there are still populations protected by the giants that live there, and herd them. Reianmyan Elephants have been spotted, but not much is known about them.
Armir
The armiran elephants are smaller than their Veskaren kin, this is because their main enemy was the Nalsai, who have hunted them throughout time, this has caused them to adapt to be leaner, faster, smaller, and much more aggressive. Their skin also has mild magic resistance.The Armirian Mammoth is found in the southernmost regions of the continent, in the pine forest, they are the largest of the Armirian elephants, and the least aggressive.
The Eastern Elephant lives in the eastern regions of armir, specifically, the heartland of Baskythenina, they migrate between the south and north as seasons change, spending the summers in the south, and the winters in the north, where the climate is milder. The regions in between are arid and difficult to traverse, but still, the elephants make their annual journey. Most of them live in the lowlands, but some make their trek through the highlands, it is unknown why exactly, as the climate there is much less forgiving.
The Western Elephant lives in the tropical regions of Felmeria and Nalsai'ia, They have larger ears, like the Enyanian elephants, but they are fast, agile, and aggressive towards anything that even remotely resembles a Nalsai hunter. Their combat prowess should not be underestimated, and even among Nalsai, they are considered a most dangerous foe.
Armiran Elephants, are those first discovered by Veskaren explorers, they live in the northern forests and flat lands of Armir. They are the fattest, but nonetheless, still familiar with the Nalsai, and they are certainly dangerous beasts. Most of them live in the Baskythenian parts of the north because the Baskth don't hunt them nearly as much.
The Mystic Lands
The mystic elephants, as they are called, are primarily found on Anyang, they are by far the largest of all elephants, and they have four, and sometimes even six tusks, compared the mere two tusks of other Elephants. They are herded by giants, in their territory, and the other mystics simply leave them alone, which has led to their kind and gentle dispositions.Mystic Mammoths are found in the north of Anyang, they are the largest of all elephants, and they are venerated by fairies as god-like spirits.
The Anyang Elephant is found in the rest of the continent, they are much more populous, and they are the ones who are herded by the giants the most.
The Gitan Elephant is the only species that has been found on that continent, they primarily live in the forests far away from titan lands, as they are vulnerable to attacks, and they are very valuable to the giants, due to their milk, and meat.
