Arkhosi Court

The Arkhosi Court is a group of scholars, generals, and court officials who oversee the internal affairs of the New Arkhosian Empire in the absence of the Emperor. As with many high-ranking positions in the Empire, members of the Court must be full-blooded Arkhosi, able to trace their lineage back to the Old Empire.
In recent times, the Court has been a modernizing influence on Arkhosi society. Trade from the Murqhin Sadheri, encouraged by the mercantile policies of Ilakos Ostri, has changed the attitudes of many within the Empire, and has led to increased integration with other parts of the known world. However, not all see this positively, and there is a vocal group of "old nobles" who oppose the Council's policies.
