At first meeting, Aterlyn is quite simply: an asshole. Unable to grasp the idea as to how Aasimar could Fall, he does harbors a hatred towards the Fallen, and comes off like he believes himself superior.
Currently staying in New Hope under his God's assignment. He is to investigate the source of particular oddities around the area. The rings above the town are attempting to birth something, which is unnatural and therefore against Lathander's teachings. He is commonly found either working with Professor Hallard down in "The Hole" or in his flat, unreachable by most common folk.

Herein below is the "short version" as Aterlyn tells it. -Val
Born to two Humans, his father was a cobbler and his mother a seamstress. Growing up, he thought himself a regular Human like his parents. They were hard workers, traders, and very well known - it seemed like every townsfolk knew them.
On the day of his fifth birthday, he noticed voices in his head. While his parents thought him possessed, it was in truth his God calling him into action. The priests brought in to cure him took kindness to his parents, and told them that they would take him to a convent (The School for the Unexceptionally Holy) where he will receive an education. The school was far away, and he heard nothing from his parents no matter how often he would write. He wrote every day, never receiving a response. During his stay at the school, his hair changed from brown to gold, his eyes blue to gold, and his overall appearance melded into something new as he gained the ability to fly.
At the age of ten, he got curious. For five years he stayed at the convent, and now he really wanted to see his parents. He snuck out against the wishes of the Chaplin. He arrived in the morning to his hometown, though no one recognized him. He knocked on his parents' door, and his mother answered. Her words made all the difference, "What is a young impressionable person like you doing, knocking on doors so early in the morning?" He was not recognized by his own parents.
Shattered, he returned to the convent and spent the remainder of his time there learning to attune to his patron. Since then, he has traveled the world on Lathander's orders, to bring peace and help those who might not realize they need help.Education
