Aasimar
Basic Information
Anatomy
Aasimar look like the mortal races they are born from, most appearing Human in nature. What sets them apart from the mortal races is their otherworldly visages, with luminous features that reveal their celestial heritage. The most common feature are golden limbal rings that radiate with holy power.
They can be broken into three subcategories: Protector, Scourge, and Fallen.
Growth Rate & Stages
Aasimar age similarly to their Human counterparts. However, they can live to an average of 160 years. Most Aasimar will reach a pause in physical development once they reach 25 years of age, when the brain is fully developed. For about 70 to 80 years, they will remain in this stasis - they must however take great care of their bodies through proper diet and exercise - before aging resumes.
Biological Cycle
It is common for Aasimar to biologically and physically change when they awaken to their celestial heritage. The most common change is hair and eyes, adjusting and matching to their patron (gold and silver the most abundant colors). At this stage, their limbal rings turn to a radiant gold.
Should they Fall - or simply change patrons for other reasons without Falling - it is possible for them to alter their appearance again.
