Adventurers align with the Defiled and are entrusted to stop Grindstaff.

Thanks to General Lenora (and the adventurers) the undercity of Nex was back under the control of the Defiled, and the adventurers were given a title of honor: The Undying, for their great service to the Defiled people. The history of the relations between the BSTC and the Defiled were made clear: Deverick, once a thief and a traitor, was now a trusted and sincere ally to the Defiled, whereas Grindstaff was a Machiavellian manipulator who used and lied to the Defiled for years in order to gain access to their Necrotech.   Grindstaff's madness, and the threat he posed, was now revealed: his intent seemed to be turn the entire world Defiled. And he must be stopped. His shockingly close homebase in Eyespur Tower was infiltrated by the Undying, which uncovered his specific plans to use Miasma bombs to turn living creatures into Defiled under his control. A mapped list of locations for his test sites and secret laboratories was also found. The Undying's path was now clear: track down each location and put a stop to Grindstaff's genocidal plans.
