Grindstaff begins his obsession with Necrotech and the Defiled. His plans take shape.

Now that Deverick was out of the way, Grindstaff began his integration into Defiled society, acting as an advisor and envoy to Lady De'Fyll. His knowledge of Necrotech grows exponentially and he begins setting up secret laboratories across the world to experiment in the barrier between Life and Death. His singular goal: to resurrect his wife and daughter. it is his belief that the nature of the Defiled hold the key to resurrection in lieu of a soul.   As his knowledge grows, so too does his desperation and rage. His goals slowly shift from mere resurrection to utter destruction of his enemies and the recovery of his family's souls by force; via an army of unstoppable Defiled under his control.   During this 25 year period, Grindstaff travels the known world, setting up laboratories, refining his Miasma Bomb technology, experiments on countless living, dead, undead, and Defiled subjects, brokers deals with various entities and organizations, all in an intricate and interwoven plot that could end in the death of all life on New Genesis. It would take until the year 1901 NG for his plot to even begin to be uncovered by a group of adventurers.
