Kosmima Mountains

The Kosmima Mountains are a mountain range in northeastern Teleuce. When Scythas discovered blue gemstones in the region and informed the Teleucian king as such, he requested for the construction of a mining city. His requests were met with approval by the boy-king, King Empedocles. The mining city, Iaspis proved itself prosperous, and gemstones flew into the capital, Stemma. These gemstones would become the jewelry the Kingdom of Teleucia is famous for.

Geography

The Kosmima Mountains are the highest mountain range in the World of Many Names. Mountain goats make their home in the regions of lesser altitude, but the snowcaps will almost always be empty.

Fauna & Flora

Wild highland goats and sheep make their homes in the side of the Kosmima Mountains. They themselves are hunted by bears and cougars, who are what make the mountain range feared by travelers.

Natural Resources

The Kosmima Mountains are filled to the brim with gemstones and ore, most notably blue and orange types. The cities of Iaspis and Kyanis were built with the sole intent of exploiting these ore deposits by mining them and sending them to the capital, Stemma, or some other such city, where they would be processed and carved by artisans into fine jewelry to then be sold to foreigners for a great profit.
