Lord Chancellor Iolas Caiynore, son of Lord Laechanar Caiynore and Lady Rometha Caiynore, née Holayra, is the appointed Lord Chancellor of Oslias, the chief advisor to the King of Oslias, and has his own seat on The Conclave of Cérebrael, a council of advisors to the King of Oslias. Lord Chancellor Iolas Caiynore was appointed by King Wyat Tuly the Upholder following The Promised War after Lord Esgarion Caiynore, Lord Chancellor Iolas' older brother and former banner-man of House Arasatra, was appointed Lord Protectorate of The Altar by King Wyat Tuly. Lord Esgarion bent his knee to King Wyat Tuly and still pledges his loyalty to King Wyat's son, King Conon II Tuly. Lord Chancellor Iolas Caiynore was a strong warrior and apart of his brother's honor guard before and during The Promised War. Lord Chancellor Iolas became a hero and legend of The Promised War after he was cut down in battle near the town of A'onora. Lord Chancellor Iolas Caiynore would return to the war fighting for King Wyat Tuly and giving him insight on how to siege the now ruined city of Kvenöre. King Wyat would select Lord Chancellor Iolas as his Lord Chancellor because he demonstrated a vast tactical knowledge. Those who witnessed the act believe King Wyat was drunk.
