Svartelvdal (Svart-elv-dal)
The Fylke of Svartelvdal is a long and narrow stretch of land that follows the Svartelv and borders the blackwood on the eastern and western flanks.
Culture
Much of life in Svartelvdal revolves around the ebb and flow of the great Svartelv that flows from Geirshavn in the north and beyond Mykla to the south. The spring flood brings destruction and life, and a pause in trade. During summer and well into the winter the river is a busy riverway for fishing and trade.
