Personal history
In the outskirts of the once great city of Faliva , little Dagrik grew up. The son of a smith, Galdur and his loving wife Sofia. Dagrik had 2 siblings: his older brother Olrik, and a younger sister Olea. The days for young Dagrik were spent helping his father with the forge, or playfighting with the neighbourhood baker’s son Grom. Grosch og Taryka (Grom’s parents) were close with Galdur and Sofia, so the kids saw each other often.
Dagrik was quite the rascal in his younger days, and often brought Grom with him on his shenanigans. Pulling pranks on the locals, playing hide and seek in and outside their houses, and such. They would never steal however. They looked up to the soldiers in the town and wanted to become a town guard themself someday. So they wouldn't dare to do any sort of crime. They would often prank them tho. Especially if they dared breaking up on of their playfights.
Grom, being a half orc, punched quite hard, and no matter how hard Dagrik worked the forge, Grom, the baker’s son always seemed to grow stronger. This made Dagrik quite the descent smith, even though he know Olrik would be the one to inherit the forge. One day Dagrik “borrowed” some iron ores to make him and grom some practice swords. They were tired of the wooden swords that broke so easily. Dagrik realized that Grom always had the advantage over him in close combat, so he made his sword in a way that the blade was shorter, and the hilt was longer. Attacking Grom at a distance proved far more successful.
Years passed and Dagrik matured. Faliva was in change. Large criminal groups started offering protection for a fee. The bakery of Grom’s parents were in particular interest for them, and since Grosch was a stubborn man, and his answer was always no. Galdur however seemed to have made a deal. Attacks started happening. The town guards did nothing, so Dagrik and Grom started guarding the bakery themselves. It ended up burning down in the middle of the night. Grom and his parents stayed over with Dagrik’s parents luckily, and there a decision was made: Grom and his parents had to move. Quirm seemed a good option as is was still in growth and needed producers of food. It was agreed that Dagrik would follow them on the way and then strike out on his own. Fot all he knew grom would remain a baker the rest of his life. Dagrik wanted adventure. It was there he met the Legion of many names.
A well renowned mercenary group, known for their success in taking out bandit camps and driving out invasive orc tribes. And they were looking for a greenhead. When 19 year old Dagrik applied they needn’t look twice. A well built man who knew how to handle a sword. They provided Dagrik with Armor and a proper Glaive, and so they set off.
