Structure
A parliamentary Republic with a lot of referendums. The President, currently Louis Damagon, holds a substantial power but can be impeached at any given moment if 60 procent of the people vote for it.

West Ilandian culture is commonly regarded as one of the finest cultures in the world, with West Ilandian arts, ideas, food and filosphy influencing the whole world. West Ilandia, together with Maxtopia, Daguo, UF, Moltevinoan and Brancalandian culture are the most influencial cultures world wide.

We, as the proud members of the West Ilandian parliament, will strive to make life even better, but it will not come at the cost of our climate and future. This means we will have to add a "climate tax" of 3% of one's income to the yearly taxes, but fear not, our future is worth it.

West Ilandia is usually a peaceful country which prefers peaceful solutions over violence but will use violence if necessary.
The Wezonian Crisis gives us a good example:
The island state invaded a West Ilandian island on the 22th of June 2019.
The West Ilandians first tried to solve it the diplomatic way but eventually was forced to declare war on them after they invaded yet another island. They immediately started with sinking their fleet and launching an invasion with North and East Ilandian help.
After two weeks worth of fighting almost the whole island was under West and East Ilandian control.
The democratically elected Wezonian Provisional Government demanded the Ilandians to return home, which the West Ilandians did immediately, if they were given executive rights in case of a new Wezonian dictator.
