St. John's Cemetery
Purpose / Function
It was built next to the Saint John's Church to bury the dead of the St. John's Neighbourhood in Framton.
Alterations
The Cemetery was expanded in the 1840s, when it was the place the high class buried its deads.
In 1959 it was expanded once again, as they built an enormous mausoleum for the communist leader Thomas Mallard Saigon.
In 1985 it was expanded once more, as they built yet another enormous mausoleum, this time for anti-communist leader Darius Avaha.
Tourism
Many (political) tourists visit the cemetery, as both communist saint Thomas Mallard Saigon and anti-communist saint Darius Avaha are buried there. Some other famous people buried there are:
