The majority (89%) of the population is ethnically Liesse, a minority in the Wadareach Mountains, originally from Pontinesel, and also religiously Romasian.
The biggest minority are Akmah mineworkers (8%), who mainly work in the nearby iron mine. They are all descendants of the Il-Sujv Family, a family of Akmah mineworkers who fled to West Ilandia in 1925. They are mainly Violetists.
Another minority (2%) are ethnic Ilandians, and are mainly Catholic.
