Growing up a post-WWII world saw Alice become a hard working and practical woman. She worked hard on the family farm at Cape Otway, eventually teaching her granddaughter Kaitlyn to love it as she did. Alice was also a fierce protector of the town, and just as fierce a protector of her family legacy and witchly duties.

Alice Callahan had the primary power of animal scrying, which allowed her to put her consciousness into the mind of any animal to see what it saw, to hear what it heard. She used this power to patrol the borders of Cape Otway to ensure its safety from supernatural threats.
It was not until later in her life that this power evolved into her secondary power of animal manipulation, giving her almost complete control over any animal she laid eyes on.
