Iran Character in The Wild War: Anathema | World Anvil

Iran

Talk is cheap, unlike gold and power.
Elite soldier of Rande's Opponents Neutralization Unit (a.k.a. O.N.U.), Iran is an officer of the Rande's army.   He is dark and not talkative at first, but when you know him better, he is the storyteller of the team. The members of the Order will tell you that he is a historian. And this is explained by his seniority and long life experience.   The djinn is learned and wears elements of ancient armor, most of which are broken now. He usually appears from the lamp to protect his master and speaks in a strange language that only Iran understands. It is a typical duo of magician and invocation.

Personal history

Almost as old as France, Iran and her brother Persia are elves. Were, because Persia is now a djinn.   Iran and Persia were elven researchers studying the origins of the Damarah's Desert. The desert is permeated with fine particles of magic with fantastic properties. Iran and Persia were experiments to catalog all their properties. But one of their experiences turned out badly and resulted in a big explosion. When Iran woke up, he was in Lucifer's Tower. He watched the scene from afar out of curiosity and intervened when he saw the explosion. He told Iran that he was badly maimed but that thanks to his magic, he was treated. Nevertheless, if he was safe and sound, his brother was anything but "healthy". Lucifer presented him with a bottle a little elongated and when he came out, blue flames came out and took the form of a djinn. Lucifer explained to him that his body was vaporized and that his Essence evolved under the spell. Iran asked for possible solutions to restore its appearance, but no means could make it back as before. Unless you make a special body in which Persia is sealed, there is no way to go back. Iran then thought of reproducing the experiment, but Lucifer having already preceded it, informed him that it would only vaporize what remains of his brother. Iran and Persia resigned themselves to taking the simplest option: to seal Persia in a body. Iran then leaned on the necromancy that only led him to trouble. Driven by many, they landed in Rande where Iran was imprisoned. But the bottled jinn attracts the curiosity of Gregory's member who made him released. The Fallen Angels studied the case of Persia and proposed solutions that never ended. In the hope of finding a lasting solution, Iran and Persia joined the O.N.U. to stop ignoring the escalating world conflict.
