Planet: Xanti

Xanti is a frozen ice planet in the Xanti System that is barely habitable by Humans. It is ruled by the Bounty Hunter's Guild and their leader Guildmaster Abram El'Sarada. It is a harsh planet with several building to mountain-sized creatures and is viewed as a “testing grounds” by the Bounty Hunters that inhabit it.

The Slush

Xanti is tidal-locked with one side always facing the sun. The sunlit side of the ice planet has become known as “The Slush”. The terrain is a frozen, swampy soup of partially thawed ice crystals in a constant state of thawing and refreshing. Moving through the terrain is hazardous enough by its own merits, but the Xeno creatures inhabiting the planet tend to spend more time in the Slush than on the dark side of the planet. It has become known as the primary hunting grounds for intrepid Bounty Hunter teams seeking to earn a license.

Cities

Xanti has 3 stationary outposts called Stations by the locals. They are each inhabited by no more than a few hundred people at any given time and the entire planets population is no more than a few thousand residents.

Stronghold

The aptly named outpost is built into a large series of Ice Caverns with large metallic walls and a massive gate built over the entrance. It is the most secured location on Xanti and has been the fallback point for many an unforeseen event.

The Flow

This outpost is built into a wrecked Battlecruiser (Size 3) that crashed here and split in two many generations ago. It is partially encased in a frozen Ice Flow that is slowly descending downward to the treacherous Ice Shard & Ice Cavern filled ground below at a rate of a few inches a year. It tends to have more amenities than most Outposts but is harder to get to (involving smaller hovercrafts or climbing) and a very regulated amount of warmth rationed per person. It provides excellent defense from Xeno creatures however.

Last Chance

The oddly named outpost resides atop a hill overlooking the Slush below. It is far less protected than other outposts and has been rebuilt 3 times according to latest records, but it provides a jumping point for potential Bounty Hunter groups to attempt to make their license claim as well as a refuge for successful or scattered remnants of those same groups after their attempts.

The Mountain

The primary city, and only location large enough to truly be called one, is built into the back of a massive creature coated in thick icy blocks about the size of the large mountain. Thousands of licensed Bounty Hunters make their berths in the mobile home of the Guild that constantly treks across the surface of the frozen land. Entrance to the actual city to non-licensed individuals typically involves a complicated contract being offered that requires the Guildmaster’s approval, which is on recommendation of one of the Station Sentinels, or a prospective Hunter Team seeking his approval for a license. For potential hunters, this requires either delivering a current bounty and forgoing the bounty price OR hunting and bringing the head of one of the planet’s huge Xeno monsters. The Mountain moves constantly across the surface from one Station to another, often trekking across the treacherous dark side for additional security. It is rumored that the creature called the Mountain has been tamed by Abram himself and moves at his whim.   Hunters can only be licensed from within the Mountain by Guildmaster Abram El'Sarada himself, while contracts, bounties, and payments are often delivered to Stations and the Sentinels (assigned station leaders).

The Great Hunt

Though hunting in the Slush isn’t required, it is certainly the most common location. Teams tend to dock at the Last Chance, head into the Slush, and return with the head of the slain creature. While it is expressly forbidden per the Guildmaster’s orders that a trophy (whether bounty or monster’s head) be taken from another within the walls of any Station or City, it is common practice for prospective Bounty Hunter Teams incapable of downing a monster themselves to ambush a returning, victorious (and now weakened) rival team.

Tourism

The harsh terrain and difficulties in getting to the Planet mean that only Hunter Teams and people seeking contracts (or their proxies) brave the journey.
