Anti Corruption Specialised Units
"We are the first and last line of defence against the most horrifying of foes, the most dangerous of monsters and the most deceitful of deviants"
Anti Corruption Specialised Units (or ACSU for short) are detachments dedicated to fighting
Corruption , these units come equipped with the best their faction has to offer when it comes to fighting these malefic forces. They're specially trained and armed to the teeth with demon killing weaponry, cult dismantling training and the will to withstand all of its temptations.
Formation
The first dedicated anti Corruption unit was the Sirasion ACSU, from which the acronym was coined. It was formed directly after the initial defeat of Red Venom with the purpose of stopping any cults popping up and destroy and demon incursion. It wasn't until the Sirasion ACSU proved vital in stopping multiple large scale cult uprisings that the other factions realised they needed their own specialised unit, with cults in their own borders becoming a huge problem.
Fighting Corruption
The major factions have their own methods to fighting corruption, tactics vary wildly between them. Technology on the other hand is very similar. Of course demons, corruption infused individuals and cults can be combated the old fashioned way with overwhelming firepower and standard military precision, but in some cases an extra punch goes a long way.
The Necrophyte Dynasty , after studying a corruptive gate opened by Regenold that they are unable to close, managed to create a specific type of radiation that destabilises Corruption on a molecular level, actually weakening its connection to the material universe. This radiation can be employed in energy based weaponry as a modular attachment to the ship turret or infantryman's rifle, this infuses the weapons energy rounds with anti corruptive radiation.
The effects of the radiation mean Corruption cannot spread in any capacity, meaning infused individuals and demons cannot regenerate wounds caused by anti corruption weapons. The radiation can also be projected in fields to create an area of denial for corruption energy, within these fields corruptive powers cannot be manifested and corruptive individuals such as demons cannot enter without being hindered.
This base level technology was given to all major factions by the Necrophytes as a means to collectively fight corruption, however
The Sirasion Empire are the only faction to have dedicated anti corruption nanobots that can get in to a person's body and destroy each corrupted cell piece by piece, effectively cleansing them of corruptive energy without harming them long term.
The Corruption Detector
a device first put to use by the Sirasions, the Corruption detector is simply an device used to measure ambient corruption levels. It works in a similar way to a Geiger counter, capable of being set to a higher minimum if venturing into a highly corrupted area to detect for spikes, or simply set to a hard 0, warning when any corruption is at all present. Each faction's use of corruption detectors varies widely. On Imperial and Dynastic vessels, corruption detectors are a big part of the crew's training with constant drills to keep the crew ready in case such is encountered.
Corruptive Incursions Responce Unit (CIRT)
The CIRT is the Alliance's primary anti-corruption unit. It has a permanent staff of administrators and investigators, and uses military units seconded from the Alliance military to combat corruptive threats directly. These forces are given to CIRT on a temporary basis so that the soldiers are not exposed to too much corruptive radiation, though this means that CIRT's combat teams are not as experienced as those from the Necrophytes or Sirasions. They compensate for this through the extensive use of combat drones, one of the few alliance units to do so.
Typically, a CIRT trooper will have at least 5 years of experience serving in the military, and do a tour with CIRT's combat wing for 5 years, but their service with the unit is ended prematurely after 7 combat missions unless the situation is critical (the limit used to be 10 missions, but this was changed after a number of the unit's soldiers went rogue). The CIRT also uses a number of unmanned combat drones to limit corruption exposure, as these can simply be discarded if exposed to too much radiation. They differ from droids due to their need to be piloted remotely, and possess only very limited functionality when not being operated by a pilot.
The unit's investigation wing uses a permanent staff that are specifically trained to find and identify instances of corruption. Investigators are often former detectives or PIs who have chosen to apply their skills against Corruption, though their exact reasons for doing so can vary wildly and recruitment is not restricted to any particular source. The investigators themselves are known for their heavy-handed scrutiny and roughness, but also for their strange habits when off-duty, such as the practice of old earth rituals and esoteric ceremonies of their own making. They are routinely tested by third-party agencies and by Alliance Intelligence for signs of corruption, but none has ever been found.
The unit's history is purposefully murky; the investigator's identities are kept secret, and the soldiers seconded to the unit are sworn to secrecy or have parts of their memories wiped if their memories of an incident are deemed to be hazardous. It is theorised to have been formed in a rudimentary fashion around 2239, but was officially formed in 2276. This importance dwindled over the years as the corruptive threat lessened, and began to be seen as a liability for funding. With military funding at pre-war levels following the cessation of hostilities, the CIRT now operates only with very limited resources; a few old barracuda-class frigates to project themselves with, around 100 troopers to deploy, and members of the investigations wing are usually AI agents who were sent to the unit as unofficial punishment. The Alliance bureaucracy ignored their warnings of significant changes in corruptive activity, thus CIRT was completely unprepared for the corruption's recent return, but did receive a large boost to funding following these events.

The Sirasion ACSU
The Imperial Anti Corruption branch (sometimes referred to as AN-COR or The Devils) was the first fully established anti corruption unit with a dedicated training regime. Generally once a soldier has joined the ACSU there is no going back until they have been discharged from the unit or completed their tour.
How soldier are chosen for the ACSU are either hand picked from promising individuals, from volunteers or in the more common case, the unit of soldiers that end up being forced to fight a demon incursion or a corruptive uprising are then drafted into the ranks of the ACSU if they perform well, the intent to keep cohesive units together.
Very little additional training is done for new ACSU soldiers, with every new combatant having a intermediate knowledge of combat anyway. They are ofcourse educated in advanced lessons on how corruption works, how it can effect the body and mind and most importantly; how to spot if one of their team is being affected.
The ACSU come equipped with the A-A-G Katarnis rifle, a gun specifically designed for combatings demons and corruptive cults. It's main payload consists of an anti-cor radioactive energy shot as well as a chamber of darts containing anti corruptive nano bots. The dart launcher being specially for bagging leaders of corruptive cults and cleansing them of their corruption so they can be properly punished for their crimes. The ACSU also have access to a plethora of imperial vehicles, including their own regiment of
Wardroids , many of these droids are painted with a red trim and affectionately named by the units that field them. As well as war droids the ACSU also use a lot of Marat and Circ combat drones for reaching into highly hazardous areas.
