The Clasp are SUPER DUPER EVIL
The clasp are fuckin evil dude. They are not just a fun lil thieves guild, they are EVIL. They are either working directly for demons, The Chroma Conclave, Vecna, or are just independently evil and their interests happen to align with demons and chromatic dragons.
The Clasp were the ones that delivered the Crystal/Egg that birthed Skysunder. This immediately connects them both to the Chroma Conclave (because Skysunder is the child of Vorugal ) and to planar travel (as Skysunder escaped in to some sort of frost plane when Vox Machina attacked it). This event also happened on Winter's Crest, a time where it is known that the planar barriers are thinner.
They were also involved (they were the ones holding the souls of the Tal'Doreis) with the demonic invasion sequence pre-stream (Demons in Emon). Brimscythe (a Chroma Conclave member) was also involved involved in those events, and those events also occurred (in the timeline) near/on Winter's Crest.
The clasp were also the ones that were going to transport Riskel Daxio, self-identified "blood of Vecna ", to Marquet after Vox Machina killed House Briarwood and liberated Whitestone.
So they seem to be, at the very least, familiar with planar travel, *very* involved with the dragons, and have a direct tie to Vox Machina.
They appear relatively chill with the new world order of the dragons when Vox encounters them during The Fall of Emon. Not actively cheering it on (at least to Vox Machina's face), but definitely weren't too concerned about it broadly. This is slightly contradicted by them seemingly assisting the former Tal'Dorei Council, but I don't put too much stock in to that. Raishan is on Vox Machina's side now, but she originally painted the efforts of the former council and clasp as wholly pointless and misinformed. Frankly, exactly the sort of efforts that I would expect The Clasp to support!
They also actively attempted to assassinate Vox Machina for Hotis the Rakshasa even after Vox Machina had already killed Umbrasyll. I highlight that, because it would have been clear to The Clasp that Vox Machina's efforts are succeeding in regards to toppling the Chroma Conclave.
Oh, and did I mention that they TRIED TO ASSASSINATE Vox Machina
Also, small, but interesting point, which is that The Clasp is apparently the only power structure left in Emon (Thordak doesn't even seem that interested in providing or enforcing any manner of power structure), and they were very specifically interested in getting a foothold in Vasselheim, which is established to be the closest thing to a dragon safe haven in the world.
This could potentially be related to Thordak's "network", but I don't feel very strongly about that.
Also also Scanlan gave them some magic shit. Some magic shit that made them super chill with handing over Riskel Daxio. Some magic shit that was described as a "Blue gem, extremely magical." Only other blue gems, extremely magical, that I can think of are Fassbender's cortex and Osysa's Heartstone. The former harkens to the position of the Heartstone in Thordak's chest, and the latter is, well, a Heartstone. All planar shit!
